YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH CHS may help others in their search and the more you share the better chance we all have of finding our loved ones. Some of you may have already found your Birthchild or Birthfamily, and your dealings with CHS would be invaluable to others.
CHS PERFORMS SEARCH: If you have had a "Search" done by CHS for either your Birthchild or Birthparent, please let us know if it was helpful and how CHS handled the "search" for your relative, how long it took, any obstacles you encountered, or any other info that you think would be helpful to others who plan on using CHS's "Search" Program.
NON-ID INFO: Please share any info you might have on obtaining "Non-ID" info from CHS and if you had difficulty in obtaining this info from them. Do you have any additional clues or advice on getting additional information from CHS? If so, share it!
IF YOU HAVE FOUND YOUR LOVED ONE, HOW DID CHS HELP YOU MAKE A MATCH?: Tell us your reunion story and if CHS was helpful in making a match.
HOW WERE YOU TREATED BY CHS?: You may also want to share how you were treated by CHS during your adoption experience--others may be able to relate to your feelings. Some of us were treated kindly--others were not.
LOOKING FOR A CHS FRIEND?: If searching for a "lost" CHS friend, be sure to list any names you can remember if you were in an Unwed Mother's Home (if you were in a Salvation Army Home--you may want to sign Guestbook 1). Most of us in Unwed Mothers Homes didn't know "last" names, so post anything else you can remember about the person.
CHS ADOPTEES: If you are a CHS Adoptee, I hope this site helps you find your Birthfamily. Please also share your feelings with us, too, and tell of us of your experience being a CHS Adoptee.
OTHER CHS AFFILIATES: If you are a Family Member of a CHS Client, or the Adoptive Family of a CHS Adoptee, please feel free to let us know how the CHS adoption affected you or your loved ones. We also welcome your feelings and thoughts, and hope that this site will also be of comfort to you.
